I didn't go through traditional teacher preparation in college; I took an alternative route to get my license and simply majored in English. Then, in my master's degree program, I only had to take 4 education classes, and they were the most useless wastes of my time and money. The only one from which I gained any knowledge that I actually use in my classroom was Tests and Measurements. Quite frankly, I'm glad that I did it the way I did... no expectations, therefore, I had nothing to unlearn.
